Night Seen In the evening, I used to
take walks along the Missouri River. There are occasional street
lights that shine through the foliage. This painting reminds
me of that backlit canopy that plays with the iris in the eye
. . . the stark contrast of evening ambient and mechanical brightness
converging on the rhythm of nature.
